Dunia Baru the luxury charter yacht is the finest yacht to ever have been built in Indonesia. She was launched in December 2013, more than seven years after construction began, and while she is traditional in style, in reality she is anything but. This 167’3” superyacht was designed by an American architect and built from Indonesian teak and ironwood by Konjo Boat Builders in Borneo; her interior and marine systems were completed in Bali. Her sails were made in Thailand; her rigging is from the United Kingdom and her marine systems are to ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) standards, ensuring unparalleled levels of service and reliability. Dunia Baru’s crew is entirely Indonesian.
Dunia Baru was initially created as a yacht for the owner’s family to enjoy, and as soon as you step onboard, you get the sense that you’ve come home: Dunia Baru exudes warmth and comfort, and encourages you to settle quickly into the relaxed pace of sailing and island life. The hospitality team, including Dunia Baru’s chef, ensure that you want for nothing.
The philosophy of Dunia Baru’s owner, Indonesia-based American businessman Mark Robba, is that his family should go on adventures, not holidays – and Dunia Baru is equipped to facilitate just that. She carries three sea kayaks, two stand-up paddle boards, a banana boat, water ski, two jet skis and three ribs, as well as state-of-the-art diving and snorkelling equipment.
The ultra-luxurious Dunia Baru, which sleeps 14 guests, is now available for charter. From April to September she is based around Komodo National Park and from October to February she can be chartered around Raja Ampat. For more information please contact your charter broker.
