From the expected to the unexpected, palm-fringed beaches and orca-patrolled oceans, our picks will render surfing the web a thing of the past. And if you don’t surf, no worries dude, these boltholes will satisfy swell-specialists and wave-wallflowers alike.

Luxury surfing in Indonesia

Dunia Baru, Indonesia

If you really can’t fathom the thought of spotting another surfer, hop onboard Dunia Baru, a private phinisi sailing yacht. At 160 feet long, Dunia Baru sails the Indonesian archipelago to Bali and beyond, from Sumbawa’s famed surf to Komodo’s underwater Eden.

Staying true to her Indonesian name, she’ll take you (and up to 13 friends) to a “New World” of luxury, fusing traditional style with ultra modern amenities. Toys include jet skis, sea kayaks, water skis, fishing rods, top end dive gear and a banana boat. Need your own surf instructor? Yoga master? Holistic guru? No problem, Dunia Baru has you covered.

Oh, and did we mention the 34 underwater LED lights that beam from below, so at night the ocean is floodlit? And it’s not just a dazzling trick, the lights attract their own marine ecosystem, so you can watch the reef come to life with feasting sharks and rays. Enough said.

What other destinations were included? Take a look at the original article here.
