Planning your holiday to Indonesia just became a little easier – and cheaper, too. Indonesia’s president, Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, is wanting to boost tourism in the country and so will be waiving visa requirements for 30 countries: seven in Asia-Pacific, 17 in Europe and six in the Middle East and Africa.
The government is hoping that this visa waiver will increase the number of foreign visitors to the island nation, and add foreign exchange of $1,2-billion to the economy.
No date has been set yet for the waiver of the visas, but according to The Jakarta Post it could be as early as next month.
