The beauty of sailing in Indonesia is that there really are so many wild, quiet places to explore. On most of the beaches, yours could be the very first footsteps of the day; there are colorful shells to collect, shallow reefs to snorkel and exquisite white-sand beaches to explore.
The beach above fringes a small island in the Komodo National Park, which was established in 1980 to protect Komodo dragons (Varanus komodoensis), the world’s largest species of lizard. There are 29 islands that comprise the park, which has been declared a Unesco World Heritage Site.
Dunia Baru is available for charter around these islands from April until September.
